Its object is to give its members a generalliterary training, and to promote a feeling of good fellowship among thestudents in the Academy. Last year the second debate was held withthe East Denver High School Congress. Brunner, Hobson and Parsonsrepresented the society, and were forced to take the view that the decisionis the smallest part of a debate. In the past two years the society hasvaried established custom by taking short trips into the mountains.
